Crazy Faith (CF) is all about making the difference through actions that are consistent with our believes. Faith that believes when all hope is gone, faith that believes that no matter how good, bad or ugly things are, there is still hope for things to get better. I am talking about faith that defies all human facts, logic, perception and circumstance. This faith happens when I take a step without seeing the staircase, the kind of faith Abraham had when he was told to step out to an unknown land he had never known or been there, that faith that made Abraham tell Isaac that God was going to provide when he was about offering him as a sacrifice. Crazy Faith says that I may have lost my job and can’t pay my bills, but I know silver and gold is his (Haggai 2:8).

The crazy Faith idea all started at the beginning of the year 2018 when I was wandering about making the difference by putting faith into real and intentional actions. Now there are a couple of things I had prayed for, trusted God, fasted about but still I hadn’t some responses to my prayers. I was feeling disappointed about the situation, because I had really put in efforts in praying and believing.  I kept doing good to people but was getting only attitudes from them, kept giving but not receiving, kept helping but not being helped, kept praying for situations but doubted along the line especially when the results were not forth coming etc. I now took out time and started studying on faith and I resolved I had been trying to live by faith, but just needed to ameliorate on how my Christian walk was going. I discovered that everyone has faith in this world, even the demons do but what makes one outstanding is faith put into actions. The actions too must be consistent with what we believe. Now you are trusting God for provision, you ask and since you don’t see it forth coming you start doubting forgetting Jireh is His name. I was given a verse by my mum at the beginning of the year 2018 (as it’s her custom to give individual verses to her children), Deuteronomy 28:12 “The lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the works of your hands. You will lend to many nations and borrow from none”. Wow! this verse came to me as a relief, that God wasn’t done with me yet and that the moment was still to come when he would open the flood gates on me. This gave me more hope and I held to it and decided to keep trusting God knowing it will come at the right time- at his timing. I decided to refuse to allow what I perceived at that moment interfere with what I believed in the word he had given me. I now decided that I was going to have or develop the crazy kind of faith that trusts God foolishly in the dark even when all hope is gone and even when the situation is getting worst, faith that thanks God in advance before seeing the results, obeys when it’s difficult to, faith that steps out and helps even when I need help without expecting anything in return, believes in God’s timing no matter the pains in the waiting period, believes in the God who raised Lazarus from death ( the story of Lazarus greatly inspired me to trust God even when all hope is gone),  believes in the God who makes all things possible. Briefly that’s how the crazy faith idea came about.  There are a couple of chapters that inspired me, but James 2, Hebrews 11 and Genesis 12 are the main chapters and some specific verses within, that talk about putting faith in action, trusting God, obeying , stepping out, sacrificing to meet needs, trusting even when all hope is gone and a lot more.

Instead of:

  •  Crying every day and blaming God about things he has not done
  •  Doubting the fact that God answers
  •  worrying about things or situations you cannot change
  •  Focusing on trivial things
  •  Living a sinful life which yields no gain
  •  Living life in a hurry and not having patience to wait on his timing
  •  Living a life full of complains and regrets

  • Look at every opportunity and step out of your comfort zone and do something for someone who can never repay you
  • Trust God even when all hope is gone
  • Believe in his timing because it’s the best
  • Focus on things that matter in life; it’s all about God
  • Count your blessings often
  • Consider others better-off
  • Make things right with God
  • Thank God often for things seen and things to come

At the end of the day this life of faith will make you happy. I have experienced it and I keep experiencing it. Despite the challenges in life CF makes me happy and I AM CRAZY FAITH.

In order to please God, you’ve got to  have “Crazy Faith”. Heb 11:6

It should be noted that this kind of faith is only evident to those who have recognized Jesus as the way, the truth and the life and have accepted Jesus Christ as savoir and lord. If you have never acknowledged Jesus as savoir and lord, then I will call on you to make things right with him by accepting him in your life. Here is a suggested prayer; Lord Jesus I admit that I am a sinner and have been controlling my own life. Come into my life and forgive my sins take control of my life and make me a new person, thank you for answering my prayers. Amen! If you made this prayer and want to grow more in your faith and walk with God, then you are in the right site. The Crazy faith site will provide you with daily experiences on walks of faith, bible stories of great men of faith, testimonies of Christians who have experienced the benefits of taking leaps of faith and living a life of faith
